Before & After
The Lydney Park property has undergone a remarkable transformation since the 2017 drought.
Before rewilding
Kelly was a special kind of crazy when she started her garden during the “Tinderbox Drought” of 2017 - 2019. This is Lydney Park house, which was relocated onto this granite hill. The weather was often erratic.
This was a dust storm to beat all dust storms. Kelly once lived near Broken Hill - “Dust Storm Alley” - however nothing prepared her for this tidal wave of dust.
This is Kelly's horse BJ, saying hi to her pseudo dire wolf Jack London. BJ has no grass to eat in this picture. Feeding out hungry horses and cattle was relentless and distressing.
